■ Caprylic acid

Caprylic acid is one of the fatty acids found in coconut and is known to inhibit the growth of fungi and various bacteria.  Studies show that caprylic acid blocks bacterial growth and attacks the outer walls of fungi to prevent growth.

■ Pau d'arco

Pau d'arco is an evergreen tree that grows in the Amazon. The native people of Amazon have valued this bark for many years supporting healthy intestinal flora.  Studies show that Pau d'arco blocks the growth of bacteria that cause diarrhea.

■ Berberine

Berberine is an alkaloid found in the roots of herbs such as barberry, goldenseal, turmeric, and Oregon grape. Berberine has the most potent microbial balancing activity among all-natural substances. It also increases the disposal of Candida by blocking adhesion to the host.

■ Rosemary

Rosemary has microbial balancing effects. Rosemary’s essential oil has a potent effect against Candida and other fungi.
